Last year – Friday 11th July
Last year on Friday 11th July 2008, 10 Y5’s (now Y6) had the pleasure of going to the Velodrome in Manchester to do some cycling. It was really hard to get a hang of it as there were no brakes and your feet were strapped in so if you stopped you fell off but we really enjoyed having a go and some of us got really confident at it.
While we were there the Olympic team turned up for training before flying off to Beijing. We were really lucky to get our photo taken with Victoria Pendleton who won a gold medal! She was so friendly and was happy to answer any questions. Thanks Mr Malkin for taking us.
